Getting the Singapore Vibe
Singapore may be a small country, some say only a little Red Dot, but it does offer a great lifestyle and vibe. The weather is always warm, no shoveling snow or dodging flood water caused by typhoons!
The airport is the best in the world and is serviced some of the best airlines. If you should get island fever other great Asian destinations are just a short flight away.
If cruising is more your speed, the Singapore is serviced by Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises and others. You could even do a weekend cruise from Friday night and be back in the office on Monday!
Singapore places a lot of value in its green spaces. The multitude of parks are great for enjoying the outdoors while exercising or having a family picnic.
The country also does not lag behind on the cultural front. Singapore has many museums and art galleries. International artists often perform in the world class venues such as the Theatres on the Bay or the MasterCard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands.
Singapore is also a great place to live for foodies! Great local dishes and international cuisine are in abundance. Socializing and entertainment often revolve around food. You could have anything from a 2 dollar meal at your local hawker center to a Michelin Star dinner, Singapore has it all!

Perjalanan ke toko bahan makanan bisa menyenangkan sekaligus membuat frustrasi! Menyenangkan karena Anda cenderung menemui banyak hal yang tidak biasa. Saran saya adalah mencoba hal-hal baru, beberapa akan Anda sukai dan yang lainnya mungkin tidak akan pernah Anda katakan lagi, tetapi itu adalah bagian dari membenamkan diri Anda dalam budaya baru! Membuat frustrasi karena sebagian besar toko lebih kecil dan mungkin memiliki variasi yang lebih sedikit daripada biasanya!

This chain is a favorite among expats! There are many branches across the island. They offer a wide range of international brands, organic produce, fresh seafood, meat and even alcohol. They do offer home delivery.
Their prices are usually lower than Cold Storage but the quality and selection is good. FairPrice also offers an online store which is very useful.
Giant has large hypermarkets as well as smaller convenience stores. They are very competitively priced. They also offer general merchandise including clothing, stationary and toys. Although they are cheaper they do not offer a wide selection of international products.
This small shop is great for freshly butchered meat. They also offer frozen meat, processed foods, cheese, canned products and spices. The meat is very good value for money!
This is definitely the place to go for special cuts of meat, house made sausages and salamis to name but a few.
